Confidentiality and Data Protection
At The Private GP Clinic all patient information is regarded as strictly confidential. Please let us know if you would like us to correspond with your NHS GP or other health professionals. We will not share any information about our patients without your consent, (unless in the exceptional circumstance where there are very serious and immediate safety concerns about an individual).
We hold a Data Protection Registration and comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. The practice uses a sophisticated and secure computer package, specifically designed for general practice, and we run a paperlight data storage system. All appointments and consultations are processed electronically, and results and correspondence are scanned onto a patient’s file. This enables the highest quality of data storage, retrieval and analysis for all members of the practice team. All patient data is held securely, ensuring confidentiality in line with national and Care Quality Commission guidelines.
